While we had hoped to have a live Hammer Down Race this year, after speaking with the City of Nashvillve, JE Dunn has decided it will not be possible due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In lieu of a live race, we are making the move to a virtual 5k and 10k Hammer Down Race!
Virtual Race Info:
A virtual race is a race that can be run from any location you choose — you can run, jog or walk on the road, on a trail, on the treadmill, at the gym, or on the track! You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself.
The race will officially take place July 11-12 with the results submission deadline set for July 13th by 12 PM.
Can't run the virtual race that weekend? Not a problem! Run early and submit your results the weekend of the race.
What does this mean for anyone already registered for our Hammer Down Race?
All previous registrations are transferrable to the virtual race.
You will receive your t-shirt and cup prior to the race weekend, via email.
Instead of a finisher medal this year, we have a commemorative Hammer Down Race cup.
T-shirts were ordered and received when the COVID-19 pandemic happened, so they show the date of April 4, 2020.
Please take photos and videos and post them to social media to show your support for Our Kids by tagging us on Facebook at Nashville Hammer Down Race or using #NashHammerDownRace20. You can also send directly to alice.myers@jedunn.com.
There will be no official winners of the race, but all times will be released.
What if you do not want to participate in the Virtual Race?
We understand and will be happy to offer you a refund or your registration fee can be counted as a tax-deductible donation to Our Kids, who are race benefits directly.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding your registration, please feel free to reach out directly to Start 2 Finish or alice.myers@jedunn.com. From everyone at JE Dunn and Our Kids, we would like to thank you for your support for this year's Hammer Down virtual race!
